The Monterey Dunes Colony Homeowners Association is seeking a self-motivated entry level Maintenance Technician to work at our beautiful beachside community.
Performs routine maintenance on building interiors, exteriors, and facilities.
Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others. Observe all State, Federal, and Company safety standards.
Perform minor maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs through daily work orders.
Perform casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, following appropriate safety procedures.
Accomplish daily treatments, cleaning, and regulatory forms required for public pool and spa maintenance.
Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are maintained in a clean and aesthetically appealing condition.
Report all problems, including items that may not be in list of responsibilities, to the Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager.
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Physical Demands
The position will require the employee to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Position will require employee to climb stairs, climb ladders, work at heights above ground, be able to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time (hourly) position. Monday- Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM. This schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.
Required:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation
General knowledge of building trades, maintenance, or handy work.
Pool/Spa Certification/Knowledge a plus
Trade experience a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Compensation:
$18-20 per hour DOE
