JOB DESCRIPTION
GROUNDS/MAINTENANCE WORKER
Under the general supervision of the Chair of the Grounds Maintenance Committee, appointed by the Board
of Directors, the grounds/maintenance employee(s) is responsible for repetitive tasks related to grounds and
maintenance functions.
Tasks will be assigned with specific guidelines and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL GROUNDS DUTIES:
turf and pond maintenance (mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, irrigating, plant cultivating, trimming and
disposal of debris)
mix/apply regulated substances for weeds and gopher control.
utilize and maintain a wide variety of garden/grounds equipment
general cleanup of sidewalks, asphalt areas and surrounding areas of the Club House.
ensure that materials, equipment and Maintenance Shop is clean and orderly to ensure a safe working
environment.
carryout assigned work with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE DUTIES
ensure that the various facilities are maintained in a healthy, clean and uncluttered fashion (i.e. Club House,
swimming pool, asphalt parking lots/walkways, dumpster area and the entrance to the Villas community.
minor touchup painting of buildings and/or facilities as approved by the Board of Directors
Empty and clean waste receptacles in designated facilities
Assist in setting up the meeting room in the Club House for Board of Directors general meetings.
maintain/replace common area lights
Understand and carryout assigned work with minimal supervision
OTHER RELATED DUTIES (AS ASSIGNED)
As directed by the Chair of the Grounds/Maintenance Committee carryout the following duties, but not
limited to:
fulfill grounds requests from homeowners as approved and assigned by the Chair of the
Grounds/Maintenance Committee
decorate outside of the Club House for the winter holidays
care/maintain the flagpole
remove debris, webs and sweep the mail kiosk on a monthly basis.
upon the recommendation of the Grounds/Maintenance Committee and approved by the Board of
Directors, perform intermittent duties deemed essential to the Villas Community.
