Part-time IHSS Caregiver Pacific Grove
We are looking for a part-time caregiver for an elderly, disabled lady in Pacific Grove who is currently primarily bedbound with very limited mobility. She needs help with daily personal care, including medication disbursement, bathing (primarily bed baths daily), toileting (she is incontinent), daily exercises in the bed or in wheelchair (a must) to help her gain some assisted mobility, daily meal prep for breakfast and lunch, home cleaning and laundry as needed. This person should be patient and comfortable dealing with the elderly and their personal care needs, know how to change person in bed, move to prevent bedsores, and give daily bed baths. Also, provider should be strong enough to help her out of bed and into a chair when feasible, change her (experience with diaper change in bed), and change clothes, etc. Taking inventory of needs and communicating with family as to her needs is also important. Given the person's dependency on care, reliability and consistent care is a must. The person must be registered as a caregiver through In-Home Support Services (IHSS) of Monterey County. IHSS current pay rate is $19.24/hour. Monday-Friday 9:30 am-2:00 pm. Approximately 18-20 hours a week.
