Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring that all mechanical operations run smoothly and efficiently. A strong interest in mechanics and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
Conduct inspections to identify potential mechanical issues and report findings to the lead mechanic.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Utilize an ohmmeter to test electrical components as needed.
Help with the assembly and disassembly of machinery parts as directed.
Document repairs and maintenance performed on equipment for record-keeping purposes.
MUST be willing to open shop at 4:30 am.
MUST be reliable and consistent.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems is advantageous.
Familiarity with using an ohmmeter is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to mechanical repair.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
