Funeral Transport
compensation: $1440-$4000 bi-weekly

We are looking for dependable drivers to Pick up and transport the Deceased from (place of death), i.e., medical facilities, residential homes, and Coroner's Offices, to Funeral Homes, Cemeteries, Crematories, and designated locations in California. We also transport deceased CoVid patients with proper personal protection equipment.
This Job requires the applicant to be on call six days a week.
You must reside in Monterey County, CA. please do not apply if you do not already live in the area
This position will pay $18-$25 per hour, with a minimum salary of $1440 paid twice monthly, guaranteed if you respond to all calls dispatched to you. You will receive a commission over your salary for transporting more than 26 cases every two weeks approx 50 hours of work.
We also calculate payroll based on the number of calls you run as an incentive to work beyond the minimum guaranteed. We pay $48 per call in Monterey County, $56 in Santa Cruz / San Benito County, and $75 for Santa Clara County. We pay $18 per hour for long-distance transport plus the base price of $48.
You must be compassionate, lift a minimum of 100 lbs alone, have legible handwriting, have knowledge of Monterey County, and be able to respond to scenes within 45-60 minutes locally and within 90 minutes to neighboring counties.
Candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
Must not have had a DWI, DUI, drug conviction, or a positive drug or alcohol test in the past ten years.
Must not have any felony convictions in the past ten years.
Must have fewer 1 preventable accidents/incidents in the past three years.
Must have no more then1 moving violations in the past three years.
Must provide DMV printout before hire
Must be able to pass a background check through the sheriffs' department.
Uniform Requirements: Must have a professional black Men/Women's Dress jacket, White button-down dress shirt, Black Dress Slacks, Black tie, Black Dress Shoes, and Dress socks.

- Communicate effectively with grieving families, providing information and addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as refueling, checking oil levels, and tire pressure
- Complete required paperwork or documentation accurately and in a timely manner
