JOB TITLE: Moving Staff, Pacific Plug & Liner
REPORTS TO: Moving Supervisor
FLSA: Hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Move crops in and out of greenhouse
RATE OF PAY - $17.50
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Duties
Consolidate trays based on growing needs
Operate the boom cart to move plants efficiently
Move full and empty tables throughout the greenhouse as directed by the supervisor
With support from others, safely stack empty tables to consolidate space
Unload seed trays onto tables
Dispose of poor-quality product as instructed by the lead
Operate the handheld scanner to scan trays and tables
Assist in other departments as needed
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in person and over the radio with all levels of staff
Preferably bilingual (Spanish), both spoken and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to distinguish between different types of plants
Collaboration: Works well within teams and contributes positively to group tasks
Qualifications/Experience:
Detail- and safety-oriented
Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
Self-motivated
Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadline
Reliable and punctual
Physical Requirements:
Work extended hours as needed during peak season, including weekends
Walk, bend continuously, and reach overhead and side-to-side
Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions and environments.
Lift up to 50 pounds in an environment that is regularly hot.
