We have an exciting opportunity for Moving Staff or Staging Staff to join our Production Department.
Moving Staff
JOB FUNCTION: Move crops in and out of the greenhouse
Consolidate trays based on growing needs
Operate overhead trolley to efficiently move plants
Move empty and full tables throughout the greenhouse as directed by moving lead
or supervisor
With support from others- safely stack empty tables to consolidate space
Unload seed trays on to tables
Dump poor quality product as instructed by moving lead
Operate hand-held scanner to scan all trays and tables
Assist in other departments as needed
Staging Staff
JOB SUMMARY: Arrange selected trays of plants onto racks, pallets or boxes as per orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Verify plant counts prior to packing
Add netting to trays shipping in boxes to preserve plant integrity.
Use inserts, boxes, pallet shelves, racks as instructed by supervisor.
Safely operate air tools such as box stapler
Position empty racks in a designated area in preparation for plant placement (adjustment of shelves)
Contribute to maintaining or exceeding established staging trays per hour rate
Move flats of plants from tables onto designated racks
Monitor quality of plants as staged onto racks or boxes
Push or pull empty or full racks of plants on to trailers
Check for missing plant cells or poor quality and report to supervisor
Use handheld scanner and/or computer as required
Keeping work area clean and organized
Operate heavy equipment (such as a pallet jack) to move racks
Participate in weekly 6s activities
