Production Lead Commercial Laundry
Monterey Bay Laundry Co. is a small, locally-owned laundry service provider that offers commercial laundry and linen services to local businesses. We've established a reputation of meeting the needs of our customers in a way our large national competitors cannot. We are positioned to grow considerably. We're looking to increase our staff at our facility in Marina. This is a full-time job working Sun-Thurs.
Your focus will be on coordinating with other Production Leads and Delivery Associates to ensure all items required to meet customer delivery requirements are ready. Your primary responsibilities will be to coordinate with Production Leads to prioritize production output, package customer-specific items and stage the items for the Delivery Associates. You will be expected to assist production as required. The ability to deliver items to customers if Delivery Leads are not available is a major plus and requires a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record. Our customers are located in the general vicinity of the Monterey Peninsula.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to:
- Work well in a team environment and be willing to step into various roles as required.
- Understand production and delivery priorities and focus on meeting those priories
- Quickly respond to unscheduled delivery requests
- Accurately check, compare, and verify invoice items for delivery to insure accuracy
Requirements of the job:
- Able to work well both independently and as a team member.
- Work on your feet and lift/package bundles weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Have a positive, friendly attitude and exceptional customer service skills
- Maintain good attendance and arrive to work for each shift in a timely manner
It is a significant advantage if you:
- Have a valid CA state driver's license. No commercial grade license is needed.
- Have a clean driving record and provide a DMV driving report.
- Are able to pass the Federal Government base access clearance process.
