LOCATION: SALINAS, CA
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing and overseeing shop activities onsite while also over the phone in both Salinas and Huron.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Answer phone calls at all times of day
⢠Plan accordingly with supervisors, managers, and dispatchers
⢠Schedule shop employees as needed by the company
⢠Complete 90 day inspections of buses, tractors, and trailers
⢠Other tasks may be assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
⢠Valid California Class C Driver License
⢠Knowledge in MIG, TIG, Arc, and Stick welding
⢠DOT awareness of rules and regulations
⢠Knowledge and experience in hydraulic and electrical systems
⢠Familiarity with Ag produce coolers
⢠Experience in fabrication
⢠Ability to read/write both English and Spanish
⢠Familiarity with New Holland tractors, Ramsay Highlander machines, Turrati machines, and Kubota machines
ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
⢠Understand and be able to work with hygienic design of equipment and machinery
⢠Ability to work long hours and stand for long periods of time
⢠Good communication skills with employees and vendors
⢠Excellent planning, time management, customer service and interpersonal skills
⢠Facility for following good safety practices at all times
⢠Efficient at reading blue prints and schematics
⢠Reliable and punctual
⢠Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
