Position Description –
Hiring entry level Drilling Assistant and experienced Equipment Operators. Duties will include safely assisting the water well driller with drill rig operation, water well construction, pump installation, and maintenance of equipment. The right candidate must have both mechanical and heavy machinery background. Must be able to work well with others, including water well driller, engineers, hydrogeologists, and clients. Looking for someone to grow with the company.
Essential Functions –
Drive medium duty trucks to various job sites as directed by Supervisor
Load drilling equipment and supplies on trucks as directed by Supervisor
Conduct pre-trip inspections
Use a variety of tools and machines – well construction support equipment, backhoe, forklift, power tools
Perform preventative maintenance duties in the field or the shop
Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions
Job Requirements & Qualifications –
Must have mechanical and heavy machinery background
Clean Valid Driver’s license – Class A CDL is a plus, must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Salinas
Pass drug test (will require random drug testing)
Full time position with OT
