Administrative Assistant

Downtown Santa Cruz Law Office is seeking an administrative/legal assistant.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities include:

- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, making calls, intake consultations, greeting clients

- Word processing, transcribing, drafting file memos and forms

- Handling office correspondence (faxing, scanning, etc.,), preparing letters and packages for mailing

- Managing accounts payable and receivables (monthly billing to clients and paying office bills)

- Other clerical work as needed.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must have at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant, and:

- The ability to write proficiently

- Fluency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and general ability to handle tech issues and learn new computer programs

- Ability to take direction and work independently

- Experience with QuickBooks and/or TimeSlips is a plus

Working Hours:

Hours are flexible, approximately 25-30 hours per week. If interested, please reply with a resume, references, and a cover letter.

Compensation: $27/hr. to start. Paid parking; paid holidays, one week paid vacation after 1 year, other perks subject to negotiation.
