Florist – Independent Contractor Position

We are a creative floral studio specializing in bespoke, handmade floral designs for weddings, events, and special occasions. Our mission is to bring warmth, intention, and beauty to every piece we create. We're seeking a talented, detail-oriented florist to join us as an independent contractor for ongoing projects.
Role Overview:
As a contract florist, you’ll work closely with our team to produce high-quality floral arrangements based on client specifications and our signature design style. This is a flexible, project-based position ideal for someone with a creative eye, strong work ethic, and experience in floral design.
Responsibilities:
Design and create bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and other floral arrangements
Coordinates between customers for custom orders
Follow style guides and design specifications for custom orders
Assist in preparing flowers and materials (cleaning, cutting, conditioning)
Maintain quality and consistency across all arrangements
Meet project deadlines and communicate progress clearly
Occasionally assist with packing or prepping items for shipment or delivery
Qualifications:
2+ years of floral design experience (wedding/event experience preferred)
Strong understanding of floral materials, techniques, and trends
Ability to replicate specific styles and work from visual references
Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines
Reliable communication and availability during project timelines
Access to your own tools/workspace preferred (depending on location)
Bonus Skills (not required but a plus):
Experience with dried or preserved florals
Photography/styling for portfolio documentation
Familiarity with shipping or packaging florals
