Interfaith Homeless Emergency Living Program (I-HELP)
JOB TITLE: I-HELP Overnight Monitor, female only
NONEXEMPT: Part-time, approximately 20-35 hour/wk.
REPORTS TO: I-HELP Shelter Director
COMPENSATION ; $16/hr. 4:30pm to 7:30am paid, (but can sleep 10pm-5:30am, occasionally
on-call)
SUMMARY: I-Help is a non-profit shelter that serves people challenged with poverty and
homelessness on the Monterey Peninsula (Monterey, CA and surrounding area).
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Monitor two or more nights per week for
the women's component of the Monterey-area Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program
(I-HELP). Experience working with homeless or disadvantaged women is helpful, as well as the
ability to communicate sensitively and productively with women across a wide range of ages and
life experiences.
Experience preferred: Ability to work with minimum supervision. Able to maintain cooperative
workplace relationships highly valued. As a team member, willing to work with others toward
common goals.
