The responsibilities of a home inspector require a broad range of abilities. In addition, the inspector must have the interpersonal skills to communicate findings both verbally and in a written report format.
This position will work with the business owner and/or additional team members to achieve the level of customer satisfaction and revenue goals and standards of practice.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Complete a concise and detailed inspection of the home including but not limited to all crawl spaces and attic areas
Convey all findings in a professional manner using proper grammar and punctuation
Communicates professionally with real estate agents and customers
Consult and make recommendations to real estate agents and customers for the various value packages and/or additional services offered
Maintain accurate records of all home inspections including photos, written details about the inspection and the filing of completed inspection reports
Maintain a strong sense of time management to ensure all inspections are arrived at 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time
Establish a proactive follow up process to ensure all customers are contacted in a reasonable time frame
Complete all paperwork and follow established company procedures from
initiation through completion of the booked home inspections
Responsible for the collection of payment at the completion of the home inspection
Coordinate placement and pickup of specialized testing equipment
Responsible for all company issued equipment
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of residential home systems and components
Previous service business experience
Proven ability to achieve professional goals
Ability to develop and deliver presentations
Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
Ability to resolve problems, conflict, and complex communications issues
Ability to deal with a variety of emotions and frustrations from the client
This requires emotional maturity and stability on the part of the home inspector.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
Requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license.

Pass all assessments administered during the hiring process

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions may require this position to work in the extreme heat or cold
Will be required to work in the rain
Required to walk on roofs, enter attics, or crawl under homes
Must have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver in tight spaces
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Work may be required to work weekends and/or evenings
This position will require local travel (driving from location to location)
Must be comfortable being on Social Media
