We are a family owned and operated souvenir gift shop located on Cannery Row in Monterey, CA. Our customers are both local visitors and visitors from around the world and the atmosphere is very fun and upbeat. We are seeking flexible part-time help with retail sales through October, with an opportunity to also work several weeks at a time November through February.
We need someone who can be flexible with the hours that they work. Typically the hours needed would be around 24-32 hours per week. A sample schedule would be Tues, Wed, Saturday and Sunday from 10a - 6:30p, however, there may be times when overtime is needed, times when a different shift time is needed, times when less time is needed, or times when other days or additional days are needed.
We are also seeking someone who can work at the store between November and February. This would be full-time work for one, two or more weeks at a time.
These two types of availability could be fulfilled by one person or more than one person, so if one type of availability suits you but not the other, please let us know.
We are seeking someone who:
Is responsible, reliable and has a strong work ethic, who will show up for all scheduled shifts, and is punctual.
Demonstrates professional behavior toward everyone who comes in contact with the store.
Is good at sales, is outgoing, will greet and talk with all of the customers, will display and sell the products, and will inform the customers of promotions.
Will complete a tasks list on a daily basis.
Will help keep the store neat, clean and organized.
Will help with barcoding and pricing of products as needed.
Is available to work weekends and major holidays.
