Position: Assistant Elf (No Costume) for local Christmas Store
Location: Doud Arcade, Carmel-by-the-Sea (CA)
Type: Part-Time (20h min) Saturday needed
About Us: Ho, ho, ho! Welcome to Carmel’s Christmas Magic, where the magic of Christmas never fades! This beloved store has been enchanting the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea for almost 40 years. After changing ownership, our jolly team is on a mission to spread holiday cheer, and we're looking for some merry helpers to join us in making this season unforgettable. If you have a twinkle in your eye and a passion for all things festive, you might be the perfect fit for our team of holiday elves!
Responsibilities:
-Greet customers with a big, festive smile and a hearty "Welcome In Your Local Santa’s Workshop!"
-Assist Santa's shoppers by stocking shelves with holiday goodies and keeping our winter wonderland looking tip-top.
-Operate the cash register like a pro and ensure every transaction is as smooth as a sleigh ride.
-Wrap gifts with the precision of an elf in Santa's workshop.
-Keep the store sparkling clean and safe, just like the North Pole.
-Join in the fun of special holiday events, from cookie decorating to tree lighting ceremonies.
-Spread joy and laughter with your fellow elves to create a magical shopping experience.
Requirements:
-Jolly and outgoing personality with a love for the holiday season.
-Excellent communication skills, even if it means singing a carol or two.
-Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a bustling environment.
-Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays (after all, Christmas doesn't take a day off!).
-Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not a requirement.
-Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic—Santa needs his elves to be reliable!
-Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs (think of it as reindeer training).
