Part-time Sales Associate position available at our Goodwill Retail Store! Job includes helping customers on the sales floor and cash register, assisting with merchandising or goods, and supporting in other retail store operations as required. Previous retail sales experience is a plus but not required. Consistent schedule, opportunities for advancement, and employee perks may be available with this position. Greet store customers; offer assistance and suggestions to customers in making product selections.
Ring up sales on cash register, following cash handling procedures.
Assist with store opening/closing procedures.
Place/display inventory on sales floor, following defined procedures. Straighten and/or rearrange merchandise to increase customer appeal and ensure a neat and safe work environment.
Assist with stock rotation and markdowns, as directed by the Store Manager or designee. Prepare store donations and rotated merchandise for transfer to the central processing plant.
Communicate problems, complaints, potential theft and/or safety issues to the Store Manager or designee.
Depending on location, may perform minor janitorial duties as required/assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous sales experience preferred.
Basic math ability.
Familiarity with Goodwill Central Coast's mission and general Company and retail policies (this may be learned on-the-job).
Familiarity with electronic cash registers (this may be learned on-the-job).
