This position is with Hovick Design, building in the area since 1998
This position is part to full time. We remodel and renovate homes on and around the Monterey Peninsula. We also do quality wood work: Cabinets, furniture, millwork. We're seeking someone with 10 or more years strong experience in residential remodeling and additions, with some solid experience in cabinet making and installing, lite electrical and plumbing.
What I expect: You have your own hand tools, hand power tools and the know how to use them effectively and safely. You have dependable transportation - prefer a work truck. You need to be skilled on shop tools as well. You need to be fluent in the English language; I only speak English myself. You work with me or other leads following directions accurately and enthusiastically. You show up ten minutes early to get rolled out and prepared for the new day. Once hired, you check in the night before to get your assignment - if one has not been given previously. You think ahead on the job, looking for what's needed to complete the job we're doing and to assist the other team members.
In return, you'll be part of a real team. You'll be treated courteously and fairly. You'll be paid on pay day. I have all necessary insurances, and licenses. I do not have health benefits or retirement at this time. If the year goes well, I may add those.
