Job Summary:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Concrete Specialist to lead and execute residential concrete work, including forming, placing rebar, pouring, and finishing. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with all phases of concrete construction, can read and interpret plans, and works well independently and with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and set forms for foundations, retaining walls, slabs, footings, and other structures
- Cut, bend, tie, and place rebar to spec
- Execute concrete pours with a high level of accuracy and finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure proper grading, leveling, and site prep before forming or pouring
- Finish concrete to specified textures (broom, trowel, exposed aggregate, etc.)
- Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Work alongside supervisors and project managers to ensure quality and schedule are met
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in concrete forming, reinforcement, pouring, and finishing
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site prep, and materials
- Ability to read construction drawings and layout work accordingly
- Skilled with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and handle physically demanding work
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and with a team
