Role. As the General Manager, you will lead the company, overseeing sales, design, manufacturing, logistics and installation in the achievement of business objectives by developing and executing effective business strategies. You will drive and measure safety, quality, delivery and cost performance while leveraging data to drive continuous improvement. You will lead and develop a team that is focused on results and culture. The owners intend for a successful hire to be rewarded with significant long-term equity incentives and ownership in the company.
Responsibilities
Management: Overall responsibility for the management of the company, including staff, operations, financial management, governance, etc.
Staff and teamwork: Build organizational capability by aligning human capital with the business mission, vision and values; focus on structure, people and process improvement opportunities. Hire, train, and lead teams of craftsmen, project managers, and sales staff to foster a high-performance culture. Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to develop and execute manufacturing strategies, including manufacturing, sourcing, material planning, scheduling and logistics. Hire sales and design staff to expand sales team and ensure high-quality customer service
Supplier and project coordination: Work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of materials.
Quality control: Implement and improve operational systems and processes to ensure quality control and compliance with design specifications across all projects.
Business development: Develop and implement strategies to expand the business, meet sales targets, and ensure excellent customer experiences.
Financial oversight: Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to ownership. Develop and manage the company budget and business plan to ensure achievement of financial objectives
Technology: Identify and implement new technology, equipment, systems, and/or process improvements that enhance the manufacturing platform; drive maximize return on investment
Safety: Drive safety quality, delivery and cost initiatives down through the organization with clearly defined and actionable plans. Champion the company’s zero injury mission through demonstrated commitment to site specific safety plans and targeted company safety initiatives

Qualifications
15+ years millwork experience across manufacturing, sales and instillation
Strong track record for transforming organizations – building the team, managing change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements
Lean manufacturing experience
