Parker-Lusseau Pastries, Inc. is husband and wife owned and operated, since 1998. Both Anne Parker and Yann Lusseau are pastry chefs. We are a French Patisserie with American Influences. We specialize in breakfast pastries, tarts, cakes, and cookies. We also make a range of savory items, including quiches & sandwiches.
Summary/objective
The Driver is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the company vehicle, including interior sweeping, exterior washing at a nearby car wash, and routine checks like refueling and basic maintenance. This role primarily involves making timely deliveries from the production kitchen to the retail café, handling fresh baked goods, dairy, and miscellaneous items. The Driver will also manage occasional wholesale deliveries and pickups from a produce purveyor. Attention to daily delivery schedules, accurate order verification, and maintaining vehicle readiness are key responsibilities in this role.
Essential functions

-Deliver products from the production kitchen to the retail cafe (approximately 0.2 miles).
-Pick up produce from wholesale suppliers and deliver it to the production kitchen.
-Deliver wholesale pastry orders as needed.
-Verify order tags and maintain daily awareness of scheduled deliveries.
-Ensure the cleanliness of the company vehicle.
-Sweep the front and bank interior of the vehicle as needed.
-Wipe down the interior of the vehicle as needed.
-Take the vehicle to the nearby car wash to clean the exterior.
-Refuel the vehicle and ensure it has enough gas for the next day’s deliveries.
-Other duties as needed.
The ability to drive is an essential function of this position.
Work environment
This is an in-person position performed in a retail cafe in a downtown location. Frequent travel is required via driving between our retail location and wholesale accounts, which are all on the Monterey Peninsula.
Physical requirements
-Ability to lift 50 pounds.
-Frequent walking and lifting required between the production kitchen, delivery vehicle, and retail café.
Required education and experience
-Completion of Serve Safe Certificate upon hire. This course must be taken every 4 years.
-Valid driver’s license required.
-History of a clean driving record (no tickets) is preferred.
-Maintenance of a clean driving record is required.
Expected hours/schedule
6am-10:45am, Monday - Wednesday
