Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, located in Morgan Hill, California. This role involves a mix of accounting and payroll duties, primarily focusing on processing payroll, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks. The role will be based on-site and involves regular use of accounting software.Responsibilities: Processing payroll, including managing timesheets and addressing any related issues through communication with supervisors. Assisting with accounts receivable tasks, including collection calls and providing support to close. Conducting monthly reconciliation tasks using various accounting software systems. Ensuring accurate data entry for new hires and assisting with initial hiring steps. Handling high volume accounts payable/accounts receivable invoicing. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for tasks such as sending forms to managers, processing checks, and issuing termination letters. Supporting other accounting duties as required, including auditing and billing functions. Implementing and maintaining accounting functions and enterprise resource planning. Utilizing accounting software systems in Kronos and MS Great Plains Accounting for various tasks. Ensuring accurate tracking of data related to accounts receivable aging, paychecks, and credit posting.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Proficient in handling Accounting Functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Auditing procedures Experience in Billing Functions Proficiency in MS Great Plains Accounting Experience with Kronos Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a team environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
