Early Career, Full Stack Software Engineer The NASA Technology Transfer System (NTTS) is a suite of data systems, web applications, and IT infrastructure for the Agency’s Technology Transfer (T2) program containing 60,000+ technology portfolios supporting all ten NASA field centers and HQ. NTTS enterprise system utilizes custom built workflows, reporting, data consolidation, integration, and highly configurable search engines, to manage NASA’s technology transfer process, which includes reporting of new technologies, protecting intellectual properties (e.g., patents), and commercializing technologies through various technology licenses, software releases, spinoffs, and success stories. Additional information available at NTTS general public Technology Transfer web portal: https://technology.nasa.gov Job Description: Logyx is looking for an Early Career, Full Stack Software Engineer to develop new capabilities and extend the existing features of the NASA Technology Transfer System (NTTS) software platform of both public and internal web portal applications, custom built workflow, data consolidation, integration, search engines, and reporting tools. Must be a motivated team player and able to work independently in a small agile software development team. Required Skill and Traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other software intensive disciplines
Up to 2 years of technical work including the time spent on academic software development and/or contribution to open-source software projects
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON. Knowledge of Angular framework is a plus.
PHP or Python
Practical knowledge of asynchronous communication between client/server
·Experience developing web applications on Linux based platforms as well as using UNIX/Linux command line interface (CLI) and scripting languages such as Bash
Configuration management experience with systems such as git, bitbucket
Strong verbal and written communication, particularly writing technical documentation and presenting to technical audiences
Other Desired Skills:
Agile software development methodology.
Experience and/or knowledge of software Quality Assurance (QA) testing methodologies, such as black-box and/or white-box for unit testing and its testing frameworks, such as Mocha/Chai, Jasmine, Karma, JSUnit, PHPUnit, etc.
