Description We are in search of an Access Ops Agent to join our team in Newark, California. This role is pivotal in our healthcare services industry, where you'll be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, coordinating health care services, and ensuring excellent patient and customer experience. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and other communications with patients, providers, and clinic staff Coordinate care by scheduling, editing and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for both new and returning patients Act as a communication bridge between the patient and the clinic Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues and escalate them appropriately Work closely with care teams, patients, and outside facilities to obtain necessary information required for care Update and maintain insurance information Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards Deliver high-level customer service following documented protocols and guidelines Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to provide accurate information regarding services Utilize the telephone system functionality as required. Requirements Possess strong skills in customer service and communication Experience in operations and handling inbound and outbound calls Ability to schedule appointments and manage databases effectively Knowledgeable about insurance and financial notes Familiarity with clinical trial operations and medical records Ability to adhere to protocols and compliance functions Experience in distributing faxes and editing documents Knowledge of health care industry and medical terminology Proficiency in using Epic software and phone systems Experience in working with clinics and contact centers Ability to route incoming calls efficiently Understanding of business logic and facility operations.
