Full Stack Power BI Developer

Oakland, CA - remote for the foreseeable future!

Apex System is looking for a qualified Full Stack Developer to join one of our large healthcare client's Power BI team based out of Oakland, CA.

This will start as a contract going through the end of 2021 with potential to extend longer or convert to a permanent position with the client.

We are looking for a BI full-stack developer with strong skills in integration of complex and interactive visualizations/analytic solutions, cloud computing and data management.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks - Java, C, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Python, R, Scala, Spark
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and relational databases
• Containers experience- Docker
• Experience with Shiny, Shiny Server, R-Studio Connect, Shiny Proxy
• Familiar with continuous integration and build management tools like Bamboo, Git or Jenkins
• Experience building installation, configuration, administration, reporting of Atlassian tools Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Stash/GitHub

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent field
• 5+ years of Cloud Experience - Experience with Azure, Google Cloud
• Proficiency with Python, R
• Experience with interactive visualization development using Python, R/Shiny
• MySQL and MS SQL Experience
• 5+ years of experience integrating front and back-end technologies to create modern and secure interactive analytic tools and visualizations
• Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues
• Intellectually curious, passionate, and inventive

Additional Details:

The position requires expert knowledge of tabular models, Power BI Service including implementing enterprise level solutions, DAX programming

Additional skills needed are understanding of SAFe Agile principles, project management skills, strong communication and collaboration skills and has demonstrated creative problem-solving skills.

Experience in implementing design principles for C-Suite reporting is preferred. Experience developing custom visualizations for Power BI a plus.
