Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Orange, California. This role will encompass responsibilities within the indirect tax department, focusing on data entry, sales and use tax returns, and management of data on excel spreadsheets. The workplace is within the finance industry and demands proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, specifically with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and Excel formulas.Responsibilities: Assist in the indirect tax department by performing data entry tasks Manage and prepare sales and use tax returns Upload and maintain data on Excel spreadsheets Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks Apply Excel formulas for data manipulation and analysis Use Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions in Excel for data organization and extraction Monitor and update customer credit records Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and applications Take necessary actions based on the monitoring of customer accounts. Requirements Possess basic skills in Data Entry Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with QuickBooks software is required Knowledge of Pivot Table is necessary Must have experience in using VLOOKUP function in Excel Understanding of Excel Formulas is essential No specific years of experience required, open to beginners in the field Must be legally eligible to work in the country Must be proficient in written and spoken English language Must demonstrate a detail oriented attitude and a high level of personal integrity Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting practices and procedures Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Must possess strong communication skills Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
