Description Robert Half has an opening for a Payroll Clerk at a growing company in the Orange, California area whose main responsibility will be to support the Payroll department in a number of duties. This is a challenging position with an industry leader, where a self-starter can find strong career growth opportunity. The company is looking for a candidate to join their dynamic, fast-growing team who can effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's daily functions may consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a long-term contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / contract / temporary to permanent basis.Your responsibilities
Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
Build and run custom reports
Administer and distribute reports as instructed
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc. Requirements - Strong time management and organizational skills
Payroll software experience is a plus
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Previous payroll experience
Eagerness to master new systems
ADP - Payroll experience desired
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
