Overall responsibility of Accounting Assistant:
The Accounting Assistant's role is to provide support to the Accounting Department. Duties include but not limited to: general construction project document coordination, administrative tasks, and accounting assistance. This individual must project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
Key areas of responsibility:
Assist Accounting Department
Daily QuickBooks data entry and monthly reconciliations
Answer phone calls, voice messages, and emails accordingly
Track and disperse all new client leads
Maintain sales reports monthly and job cost
Assist with employee timesheets and geolocations
File paperwork in the correct place with attention to detail, to allow for quick and easy access
Manage overall organization within office
Candidate must possess the following skills/traits:
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop
Knowledge of construction concepts, practices, and procedures
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Works well independently and within a group environment
Very organized with a high attention to detail required
Works well in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Enjoys improving procedures to create a more efficient work environment
Experience required 4+ years. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Experience with prevailing wage - paying and filing preferred but not required
