Job Summary:
DLC Consulting Services LLP is a highly collaborative group of legal management professionals working together to support small law firms throughout the US. We are looking for a person who can work on a team and meet deadlines while working independently. Our growth has led to the need for a Legal Accounting Clerk. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of multiple client law firms.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records for legal cases, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, and trust account
management.
Prepare and issue invoices for legal services, ensuring compliance with legal billing practices and client agreements.
Process incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Assist in managing client trust accounts, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
Process bi-weekly payroll using multiple platforms.
Generate financial reports as needed for management, including monthly financial statements and case-related
financial summaries.
Participate in special client finance-related projects and assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is a plus.
At least one year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping required, preferably in a legal environment.
A high level of proficiency using QuickBooks and MS Office.
Experience with legal time and billing platforms such as Clio, CARET Legal, MyCase, or Practice Panther is a plus.
Knowledge of labor laws and other state/federal requirements related to payroll processing.
Experience using a payroll platform such as ADP or Gusto.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with legal terminology and GAAP.
Ability to work independently with high levels of accountability.
Specifics About This Job:
The work hours are expected to range from 10 to 15 hours per week, depending on client needs. The hours are flexible but must be consistent weekly and include a team meeting on Monday mornings at 10:00 am via Zoom. One day each week is in-person in Anaheim.
