Position Overview: We are a boutique financial advisory firm in Dana Point, CA, specializing in holistic wealth management for high-net-worth individuals and families. Our mission is to guide clients through life transitions with tailored financial strategies, incorporating advanced Tax planning, Estate management, Legacy Planning and Retirement portfolio allocations. We are seeking a seasoned Financial Planning associate with a strong background in personable client relations, working in an RIA and operational efficiency to join our team. This role is primarily in-office and ideal for a detail-oriented, client-focused professional passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high-touch, empathetic approach to relationship management with what is often, but not always an older clientele.

Conduct in-depth financial planning research, including cash flow analyses, retirement readiness assessments, and risk management.

Collaborate with the advisor on meeting preparation, follow-up, and casework, ensuring seamless pre- and post-meeting experiences.

Assist in investment portfolio management by analyzing data, generating reports, and maintaining up-to-date client records.

Drive business development efforts by cultivating relationships with CPAs, attorneys, and senior-focused organizations to expand referral networks.

Provide operational support, including scheduling, paperwork completion, and compliance adherence.

Leverage technology, such as our CRM Wealthbox and financial planning software (including Right Capital, Holistiplan, Estate Guru, XYPN, Advice Pay), to maintain accurate records and improve efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; FPQP, CFP®, CPWA®, or progress toward a designation preferred but not required.

Experience: At least 5 years in financial services, with a strong understanding of Retiree wealth management, Estate strategies, and investment wealth management.

Skills:

Proficiency in financial planning software.

Exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Aptitude for business development and relationship management.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to adapt to work flow disruptions based on priority needs. Skilled in communication with a warm and patient approach to clients needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
