Product Analyst (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Newport Beach, CA); Multiple positions available: Offered salary range of $77,500 - $117,500 per year. Work on various aspects of product management including position products across PIMCO’s global distribution network, vehicle design and construction, and competitor analysis and pricing. Gather, analyze, and discuss market trends and data with colleagues and clients. Analyze portfolio characteristics in the context of broader investment themes. Evaluate risk reports, perform attribution research and conduct scenario analysis. Create customized client reports and respond to ad-hoc inquires. Draft internal presentations and prepare client-servicing materials. Summarize and explain complex financial and economics concepts to educate clients. Position based in Newport Beach, CA. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Education, training, or experience must include:Portfolio investment research and quantitative analysis using tools such as Excel, Yieldbook, Point, Bloomberg, Business Query or similar; Performing risk management and performance attribution analysis; Producing market commentary, investment outlooks, and product analysis reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis; Developing and maintaining mathematical and economic analysis materials to support and strategize business development; and Operating as a product-specific resource for the development and improvement of attribution programs and other technology related projects.Experience may be gained concurrently.
