Lead Toddler Teacher Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for working with young children, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families. The Lead Toddler Teacher will play a vital role in implementing developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all children.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play.

- Supervise and engage with toddlers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

- Manage classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions between activities.

- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage social skills and emotional regulation.

- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards.

- Lead and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers to ensure high-quality care and education delivery.

- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.

Requirements

- 12 ECE units (3 of which are Infant/Toddler units)

- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; experience with toddlers is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques.

- Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly reccomended; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and team members.

- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs and behaviors.

- Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through engaging activities and positive interactions.

- Reliable, patient, organized, and attentive to detail in managing classroom routines.
