The opportunity…
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience who can assist us on projects during the Construction Administration Phase. Must be able to commute to various job sites for Structural Observations.
Review Structural Plans for Code Compliance and Value Engineering, Review Reports, drawings by other consultants for a specific project.
Provide interpretation of Structural Contract Documents as needed
Review Shop Drawings (Steel Shop drawings, architectural elements and attachments, etc.)
Perform Structural Observations (Site Visits)
Writes Structural Observations Reports
Communicate with Contractor, Resolve construction issues & coordinate with a Project Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is semi-retired or seeking a part-time position.
The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, organized and is able to manage time.
What you bring to the table…
Bachelor of Science degree in Structural/Engineering from an accredited College or University
At least 10 years of relevant structural experience in building design
California seismic engineering background
Ability to work both independently, as well as, part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be able commute to various job sites for Structural Observations
