Small equipment manufacturing company seeking knowledgeable Solids Work designer who can help with the following duties:
1. Design, fabricate and assemble machine parts using Solid Works requiring:
a. Create BOMs complete with drawings, vendors, pricing and part number;
b. Interfacing with sheet metal and machine shop vendors;
c. Performing quality checks on received fabricated parts;
2. Create assembly plans based on priority of build;
3. Assist, as required, in the assembly of designed equipment/systems;
4. Perform laser marking, thermal transfer label and dot peen contract parts marking operation, from time-to-time, as required;
5. Operate light manufacturing tools (table saw, hand tools, drill, etc.);
The preferred candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; have good oral and written communication skills; capable of working independently; understand hardware (proper screws, screw lengths, etc.) and have a basic knowledge of machining.
Must be willing to pitch in as a team member, as required.
