The opportunity…
We are seeking an Exceptional Structural Engineer with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience who can assist with structural engineering requirements through the Design Phase, Contract Document Phase, and Construction Administration Phase.
Perform due diligence: establish client expectations, review city requirements & reports, and collaborate with other consultants
Provide structural calculations
Create structural drawings: foundation plans, framing plans, roof plans, major structural sections, details & notes
Create shoring/slope stabilization plans
Make corrections/modifications to structural documents (aka Plan Check Corrections)
Provide interpretation of Structural Contract Documents as needed
Shop Drawings Review (steel shop drawings, architectural elements and attachments, etc.)
Perform structural observations and write reports
Accomplish other duties as necessary

What you bring to the table…
Bachelor of Science degree in Structural/Engineering from an accredited College or University
At least 1-2 years of relevant structural experience
Drafting skills are a must!
AutoCAD proficiency a must!
Revit experience a plus
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of California Building Code and related codes a plus
California seismic engineering background a plus
Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
