Job Description :
Responsibilities An ideal candidate for this profile should be able to:
Oversee the functioning of an entire subject area e.g. Subscriptions and Acquisition.
Effectively use Agile development techniques – like Scrum and/or Kanban to monitor and improve the key process indicators within each team
Plan and impart training on essential processes to all members of the team
Track and mitigate any risks and impediments the team has that might come in the way of meeting timelines or quality standards
Conduct a technical deep dive on any troubleshooting sessions and/or production problems
Provide review feedback/guidance to the team on any design/implementation task that requires oversight from the TPM
Understands the team’s product and charter with both technical and business context
Being able to articulate the business value and customer impact of the team’s work and dependency to external team members
Identifies and manages upstream and downstream dependencies between team and components
Appropriately identifies risks and mitigation plans, dependency impediments, etc. for the team
Solid grasp of agile practices including managing scrum processes and ceremonies
Team capacity / velocity
Sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
Backlog grooming
Issue triage
Ability to successfully optimize agile practices / ceremonies to more effectively accommodate team norms.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
10 – 15 years of experience designing and developing software in Data Engineering, Application development or a related area of which 5 years in Agile Technical project management
Has demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and expectations of multiple stakeholders while working with diverse and geographically distributed scrum teams
Has demonstrated excellent organization and time management skills
Has demonstrated ability to drive planning, execution and project monitoring and control via key process indicators and other project metrics
Has demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities in the area of Data engineering using tools like SQL / Python
Good to have – exposure to Big Data storage and computing technologies like Hadoop & Spark
Excellent communication skills. Is able to articulate requirements and expectations of stakeholders and management to the engineering teams and status of deliverables and other artifacts to stakeholders and management.
