We are looking for a line cook to prepare food in a fast-paced kitchen. The line cooks' duties will consist of assisting the head cooks with their daily tasks.
Responsibilities
-Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
-Prepare food for service (for example, chopping vegetables, preparing convenience foods, or preparing sauces)
-Washing kitchen utensils, equipment and pans
-Cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff.
-Respond, inform and follow executive instructions
-Clean the station and take care of leftover food
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner.
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and clients.
Skills
-Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
-Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
-Familiar with industry best practices
Requirements
-Valid ServSafe Certification
-1+ year of kitchen work experience. Food truck experience is a plus
