Wild Strawberry Cafe is a busy, community-loved spot in Laguna Beach, and we’re looking for a reliable, motivated Kitchen Team Member to join our crew. This role starts part-time with the possibility to grow into full-time, and requires weekend availability between 5:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
We’re searching for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well, and jumps in to help wherever needed. Our ideal team member is dependable, professional, and committed to supporting both the business and the team.
Responsibilities:
- Open the kitchen and complete all morning prep
- Prepare daily ingredients for breakfast and lunch
- Support cooking, assembling, and kitchen line needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Assist with end-of-day cleanup to ensure a smooth closing with your team
- Help monitor inventory, restock items, and assist with basic ordering
- Prep and organize items needed for the next day
- Take responsibility for assigned opening and/or closing tasks
- Work as part of a team and communicate clearly throughout the shift
Who You Are
- Available to work weekends (early mornings to late afternoons)
- Extremely reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work quickly and stay calm during busy rushes
- Comfortable handling a variety of tasks—prep, cook, clean, assist
- Team-focused with strong communication skills
- Takes initiative and cares about doing quality work
- Experience is a plus, but not required—willingness to learn is key
