We are a family of four on a high paced schedule that need the meals during the week prepared for lunch and 6pm each night, grocery shopping for the meals and some daily snacks for our two kids and their friends after school.
Meals that are often enjoyed are:
Proteins:
Steak, Pork, white fish, chicken, Shell fish (Shrimp, lobster, crab, Mussels) (No allergies to worry about)
Cuisines we enjoy:
Mexican, American, Asian, Indian, Italian etc
Lots of unique salads, vegetables, rice etc
The ideal for us is an 8 hour day starting at 10:00am to 6 PM.
Tasks would be to start your shopping for the day at 10:00, prepare lunch for 2-4 people by noon.
From Noon to 3Pm have a snack ready for the 2 boys (10 & 14) and a few of their friends that is health conscious for when they arrive home from school.
Dinner to be ready for 5:30 each night and clean up before you leave.
We are an easy family to be around, the demands for high quality cuisine with a flair to flavors and a rotation of different foods is ideal. We are the type that like anything from a great chicken pot pie to a crab cake, a Meatloaf to a Filet, a gourmet hot dog to a roast chicken dinner.
Our boys love Vietnamese Pho, salad rolls, chicken strips etc
One of our family members is type 2 diabetic which is something to keep in mind when cooking meals, staying away from stuff that makes blood sugars spike is important to consider but not an absolute strict diet.
We have 2 active boys that love having friends over which can often result in 6 mouths to feed at a moments notice. Left overs are always welcomed.
We would ask that all shopping be done by you for the meals you are preparing on a daily basis. We can advance money for groceries or work out repayment daily. We are happy to pay cash weekly for your wage ever Friday.
We have 2 golden retrievers that love walks If you happen to be a dog person you will be in love. Walking the dogs can be a paid task while the food is in the oven, certainly not a requirement.
Our home is in Dover Shores in Newport beach, your kitchen is on the water with a great view to look out to every day. We have a very complete kitchen with Le Creuset and Staub ceramics, Stainless pots and pans, all blenders etc you will need in a kitchen. We are avid in the kitchen and have everything you will need. We also welcome the idea of buying anything you feel is missing that will make enjoying your work space more enjoyable.
I have not posted a wage as this is something we feel you need to tell us. We want all applicants and didn't want to limit ourselves to find the right fit that had a limitation on budget.
We will welcome applicants to come cook for a day and compensate you. If we feel it is a good fit for us both offer a full time position with a 30 day trial period.
