Store Manager - Sandwich Shop

Job Summary:
The Store Manager oversees daily operations of the sandwich shop, ensuring a high standard of customer service, product quality, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing staff, handling inventory, and driving sales while creating a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
-Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
-Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.
-Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Customer Service:
-Ensure excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints.
-Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Operations:
-Oversee day-to-day operations including food preparation and cleanliness. Must have or obtain CA food handlers card.
-Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels.
-Monitor and maintain health and safety standards.
Sales and Marketing:
-Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
-Promote special offers and new menu items.
-Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions.
Financial Management:
-Prepare and manage budgets, including labor and food costs.
-Handle cash management and reconcile daily sales reports.
-Conduct regular financial analysis to optimize profitability.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in business or management preferred.
-Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Proficiency in inventory management and financial oversight.
-Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
About the shop: locally owned serving over 100 guests daily in the summer, 60 to 80 in winter. Large local following. Fast paced, fun work environment.
