Nightingale Senior is seeking in-home caregivers to care for our seniors to provide in-homecare services of all needs. Each of Nightingales clients have different needs, from companionship care to hands on with bed-bound clients and assisting with full body transfers. Nightingales pay rate depends on level of care for our clients, our pay rate varies from $18-20 an hour and we pay EVERY Friday Nightingale has shifts from all hours to mornings, day, evenings and overnight shifts. Requirements:
- HCA registration (Home Care Aid)
- Live Scan (Criminal Background Check)
- TB Test (Tuberculosis Test) or Chest X-RAY
- Minimum 2 years of experience (Caring for Family Members Counts!)
- Legally permitted to work in the US
Reliable, dependable, compassionate and friendly
- Licensed driver with reliable transportation preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Patience and empathy
-Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with activities of daily living including; help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication management, personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Mobility assistance and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols
- Uphold clients rights while providing care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or related fields is preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need
- Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively
- Capability to handle responsibilities efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge of memory impairment
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them is essential
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
