Rossmoor Home Assisted Living Facility has an opportunity for you as a Direct Care Staff! We are a 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly in Los Alamitos. Direct Care Staff members play a vital role in the daily care for seniors in a home-like setting. We welcome you to join our team, and build a career taking part in our senior residents' journeys in this stage of their lives.
As a Direct Care Staff member, you will:
-Provide assistance to residents with personal care, emotional support, and activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, grooming)
-Assist with meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping
-Assist with medication reminders
-Participate in providing activities for the residents (i.e., gardening, painting, puzzles, etc)
-Contribute to creating a team environment with other staff members and resident family members
Direct Care Staff job requirements:
-At least 1 year experience as a caregiver for seniors
-Basic cooking knowledge
-Experience with ADL care, transfers and mobility, ROM exercises, and memory care.
-Hospice experience is a plus, but not required
-Valid California ID or Driver's License
-Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) or is willing to be registered.
-Able to pass criminal background check and reference check.
-Current CPR certification
-Current TB test and a physical exams
-Must be fully vaccinated with a booster or eligible for an exemption
