Family Practice is looking to hire a front and back-office medical assistant who is caring with a positive attitude, organized, self-motivated, punctual, enthusiastic team player, flexible, and can multitask.
Job Descriptions
➢ Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
➢ Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients.
➢ Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
➢ Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
➢ Gives injections, or treatments, and performs routine blood draw laboratory tests.
➢ Can use an Electrocardiograph (EKG)
➢ Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
➢Greet patients, and check patients in and out.
➢Knowledge of health insurance plans. Verify health insurance eligibility
➢Answer phones and schedule appointments
➢Prior Authorizations and referrals
➢Process medical records
➢Other office tasks TBD
Education:
High school graduate
Medical Assistants must have certification of completion of an accredited school
Experience: Minimum at least 1 year in the medical environment.
Salary: Negotiable
