Their duties and responsibilities include:
Conduct physical examinations and collect patient health histories
Assist in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the gastrointestinal tract
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, x-rays, and endoscopies
Provide patient education and counseling on lifestyle modifications and medication usage
Assist the gastroenterologist during procedures, such as colonoscopies and endoscopies
Prescribe medication under the supervision of the gastroenterologist
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
M-F 8-5 pm, no call no weekends
