Medical Assistant fluent in Chinese Mandarin needed

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our reputable medical and aesthetics practice located in Irvine, CA. Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Support:

· Obtain and record vital signs, patient history, and other relevant medical information.

· Take before-and-after photos for documentation purposes.

· Prepare and maintain organized and well stocked examination rooms and operating room.

· Assist our physician and nurse with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.

· Assist in performing aesthetic procedures, such as laser treatments, injectables (Botox, dermal fillers), and other cosmetic treatments.

· Assist in physician in surgeries in our ambulatory surgery center.

· Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.

2. Patient Care:

· Provide excellent customer service and patient care, ensuring a positive patient experience.

· Escort patients to examination and procedure rooms.

· Perform basic medical procedures, including but not limited to blood draws, injections and urine dips.

· Educate patients on prescribed medications, procedures, and post-procedure instructions.

· Communicate with patients regarding their lab and imaging results with professionalism and empathy.

· Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and address concerns.

· Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy and adhere to healthcare regulations and maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

3. Administrative Tasks:

· Schedule patient appointments and manage the reception area.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems.

· Handle phone calls, emails, inquiries, and other administrative tasks efficiently.

· Handle medication refills via EHR or phone correspondences.

· Coordinate referrals to specialists and pre-authorizations when necessary.

· Schedule surgeries and procedures with affiliated facilities and hospitals.

· Work closely with rest of the team to ensure smooth patient flow.

· Prioritize tasks efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.

· Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

· Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

4. Equipment and Supplies Management:

· Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment.

· Order and restock medical supplies as needed.

· Dispose of medical waste in accordance with established protocols.

· Ensure proper sanitation and sterilization of instruments for procedures and surgeries.

· Perform routine equipment and instrument maintenance.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certification as a Medical Assistant.

Phlebotomy certified preferred.

BLS certified.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in electronic health record systems, preferably EClinical Works.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with phlebotomy.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Knowledge and experience of aesthetics and OBGYN.
