We are a single-physician, internal medicine office in the Huntington Beach area specializing in
those adults who want a more individual experience with their primary physician "Concierge". We are
looking for a medical assistant who can work part-time/flexible hours (20-30 hrs per week, no
weekends or evenings). The ideal candidate will be a mature professional with several years of
work experience and life experience. This candidate should be a person who loves helping
people. We require a reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy person with a strong work ethic, a
positive attitude, and lots of patience. While we would prefer an experienced medical assistant,
we are willing to train the right candidate and have trained PreHealth Majors in the past.
Primary duties:
Checking in patients when they arrive
Reviewing medications with patients and collecting initial symptoms
Rooming patients and taking vital signs, including performing 12-lead EKGs
Answering phones
Scheduling patient appointments
Calling in prescription refills
Scanning and electronic filing of test results, consultation notes, etc.
Checking out patients, including gathering co-pays and scheduling appointments
Ordering Labs
Reminder calls to patients
