About Us
Private dental office in Costa Mesa seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist. We’re looking for motivated individuals focused on increasing growth and production, with a strong emphasis on customer service and delivering quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their exam
Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
Provide instructions after operations or dental procedures
Take X-rays
Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments (including for oral cancer)
Maintain patient documentation and charts
Skills/Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
Experience preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Excellent communication skills and a patient, friendly demeanor
Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
X-ray certificate
Preferred: Experience with Eaglesoft and laser treatment
Compensation based on experience; bonus pay available
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected Hours: 8–40 per week
