Busy company needs a pest control technician. Before I get into all the details about this position, let me tell you a little about what is going on here. We've got a pest control company that has been in business for 19 years, and our focus has always been on offering services that are superior to what is commonly found in the market place. We are not the "low priced" guys who only spend ten minutes at a house. We only do thorough and detailed work.
The reason for this ad is because we have more work than we can handle. And, we need someone who is going to be here to stay. If you're just looking to buy some time until your old job opens up again, please look for opportunities elsewhere. But, if you're looking to get in with a company that is growth oriented, with a promising future and where you can truly establish a career, keep reading.
We prefer candidates who are experienced, licensed, and know how to sell. However, we will consider training the right person (The training is rigorous, and you must be a great student!).
Here's what you must be able to do in order to be considered for a tech position. You must be fluent in English, write legibly, read a map, add numbers, be on time, have no more than one ticket or accident on your driving record, a current and valid driver's license, be small enough to fit into a crawl space, lift 20 lbs., enjoy working with clients, measure fluids, have a nice smile, be bondable, submit to random and scheduled drug test and submit to other testing. Plus, you must have the courage to point out additional services a client needs and ask them to buy. You must have reliable transportation to and from work (no the bus doesn't count) . . . though you will not need to use your own vehicle while working. You must take great pride in doing your job thoroughly, and keeping your clients happy.
We have a generous commission plan and you should be expected to earn at least $1,000 per week, once you've settled in. But, the truth is you could end up earning much more than that if you are extremely sharp and highly motivated. In other words, if you are able to help my business grow you will be rewarded accordingly.
If you feel you can do all that, and frankly I don't think I am asking for much, then I am going to ask you to send us your resume.
Thank you for taking the time to read this important message that could end up being the chance to obtain your "dream job".
ps: We're building a very good team here at this company. We've got some very good players with great attitudes and they have the desire to win. Currently we're one person short and that's the position you're reading about, here. To be honest, we're sick of "flakes" and we're going to keep looking until we find someone that really wants to succeed. You see, my guys are team players and if they throw you a pass and you drop the ball, we all lose! The economy is improving and with our marketing program, we're going to have another record-breaking year, with or without you. If you want to be on our team, you'll have to earn your stripes just like everybody else did. And, if you're really good at your job, you'll become one of the highest paid technicians in the industry.
