Job Title: Experienced Wash Finisher
Job Overview:
The Experienced Wash Finisher is responsible for the final stage of the vehicle cleaning process, ensuring each vehicle is finished to the highest quality standards. This role focuses on exterior and interior finishing touches after the wash process—such as drying, polishing, vacuuming, and detailing. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, efficiency, and experience working in a fast-paced car wash or detailing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Exterior Finishing:
Hand-dry vehicles using clean, soft microfiber towels or air blowers.
Remove water spots and polish exterior surfaces for a streak-free shine.
Apply tire shine, wax, or protective coatings as needed.
Clean windows, mirrors, and chrome trim.
Interior Finishing:
Vacuum and clean car interiors (floors, mats, seats, trunk).
Wipe down dashboards, consoles, door panels, and other surfaces.
Use appropriate chemicals to treat leather, fabric, or plastic interiors.
Ensure no smudges or dust remain on interior glass.
Quality Control:
Inspect vehicle after finishing to ensure quality standards are met.
Communicate with team leads about any imperfections or rework needed.
Address customer concerns or preferences when necessary.
Maintenance & Safety:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of finishing station.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all safety guidelines.
Report equipment issues or supply shortages.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years as a car wash finisher or auto detailer.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with car care products and proper finishing techniques.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
Preferred:
Prior experience at a high-volume car wash or detailing center or as Carwash
Finisher.
Knowledge of ceramic coatings, hand waxing, or paint correction is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus in many customer-facing locations.
Duties
Perform thorough exterior and interior cleaning of vehicles, including washing,
ensuring a professional finish.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
Maintain cleanliness of the car wash area, including custodial duties to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Drive vehicles safely within the facility for washing and detailing processes.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stocked.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks.
Requires US Work Permit
