Maintain and repair all equipment to ensure good water quality. As a water technician, your typical duties involve calibrating equipment, collecting water samples, testing water quality, adjusting chemical levels, maintaining careful records, and creating detailed reports.
A Water Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of water systems and equipment. The Technician will work on a variety of tasks such as installing, inspecting, repairing and servicing water systems, pumps, tanks and other related water systems and equipment.
The Technician must have excellent problem-solving skills, have a good understanding of water systems, be able to read and interpret blueprints and be able to use and understand a variety of hand and power tools. The Technician must be able to work on their own and as part of a team, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent customer service skills.
The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and experience in the water industry. A formal qualification in an engineering, plumbing or water-related discipline is desirable. The Technician must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
